BY PLANE

The Santiago de Compostela airport is just 10 km (6.2 miles) away from the campsite. There are several buses and taxis running from the airport to the city. Here are the best options:

• The most convenient way to get here from the airport is to take a taxi straight to the campsite. A taxi usually costs roughly €22 and takes about 15 minutes.
• Alternatively, you can catch one of the Freire buses which link the airport to the city centre. They set off every half hour from 7 am to 1 am and a standard one way ticket costs just €3. To reach us, you need to get off at the “Capilla de San Lázaro” stop. The campsite is within walking distance from there, roughly 800 yards away. Estimated time: 25-30 minutes.
• Another option is to catch the same bus and get off in the city centre at the “Plaza de Galicia” stop. Once you get there, go to the adjacent street of Calle Senra to the bus stop at number 20 (just outside Burger King) and catch bus number 4 towards “As Cancelas”. This bus runs every 30 minutes from 7 am to 10:45 pm and a one-way ticket costs about €1 or €1.50. Get off at the second-to-last stop and take a short walk to the campsite along “Calle Vintecinco de Xullo”. You will find the entrance to the campsite just 200 yards away. Estimated time: 45-60 minutes.

The Santiago de Compostela train station is 2 km away from the campsite and is very close to the city's historic quarter and shopping area. Here are the best ways to get to the campsite from there.

• The most convenient way to get here from the train station is to take a taxi straight to the campsite. A taxi usually costs roughly €8 or €9 and takes about 5 minutes.
• Alternatively, you can exit the train station through the main door, take the stairs opposite you and walk out along Calle del Hórreo to Plaza de Galicia (roughly 800 yards away). Once you get there, go to the adjacent street of Calle Senra to the bus stop at number 20 (just outside Burger King) and catch bus number 4 towards “As Cancelas”. This bus runs every 30 minutes from 7 am to 10:45 pm and a one-way ticket costs about €1 or €1.50. • The most convenient way to get here from the bus station is to take a taxi straight to the campsite. A taxi usually costs roughly €5 or €6 and takes about 5 minutes.
• You can also walk to the Campsite. Simply walk out of the main entrance onto “Avenida Rodríguez de Viguri”. Roughly 300 yards along the way you should see the As Cancelas shopping centre. Carry on towards it until you come to “Avenida de Juan Pablo II”. Take the avenue up to the end and turn right from there onto “Calle Vintecinco de Xullo”. You will find the entrance to the campsite just 200 yards away. Estimated time: 15 minutes.
